3 Brewery Tours to Keep Dad Happy on Father's Day

Whether you’re in South Orange County, around Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, or farther north in Anaheim, there are award-winning breweries at every turn. Why not treat Dad to a self-guided tour of a few fun spots at your own pace?

South O.C.:

San Clemente has everything a dad might need to get the day started: the beach, sunshine, and delicious craft beer. Start with a slice and pint at one of O.C.’s oldest breweries, Pizza Port Brewing. From there, a 6-minute trek up Avenue Pico will take you to a tasty enclave of breweries and distilleries. Central Costa Mesa:

Park once and walk to four stellar breweries, starting the day with a tasty smashburger and pint at Green Cheek Beer Co. From there, treat your dad to some tasters at Gunwhale Ales right across the street, then head to Salty Bear Brewing or Bootlegger’s Brewery at The Lab. If you’re looking to take some of the world’s best beer home, stop in Windsor Homebrew Supply and stock up. North O.C.:

Downtown Anaheim has a great spot to park and walk to three places. Start at the historic Make building, which is home to Jav’s BBQ and Unsung Brewing. Unsung is known for its inventive comic-hero-based beers and seltzers. Alternatively, if your dad’s a vegetarian or vegan, you can start at Modern Time’s Leisuretown a block away, which serves a plant-based menu and is the only brewery in California with a pool. Lastly take a peek at Monkish Brewing, which is world-renowned for its hazy IPAs and barrel-aged Belgian-style beers. Make sure to cut through the Anaheim Packing House and grab some snacks for the table!
