WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE BEER MEMORY?
The beer community has always been so great. One random customer came to my shop and handed me luggage full of highly sought-after Aslin beer from Virginia.
HOW BIG IS YOUR BEER CELLAR AT HOME?
I spend most of my life in a beer shop, so my shop itself is a beer cellar!
WHAT’S SPECIAL ABOUT THE MR. K’S LOCATION?
It was just luck. We bought this store in 2002, and we had some great breweries that started surrounding us such as The Bruery, Bottle Logic, and now Brewery X.
HOW DID THE SHOP GET ITS NAME?
Mr. K’s was named after the previous owner’s late father. When we bought this shop, the owner’s request was that we keep the name of the store.
WHAT’S YOUR GO-TO BEER STYLE?
I prefer a pilsner or a lager when I’m drinking casually. Drinking one, it tells you a lot about the base of their beers, and it kind of tells you what the brewery is all about. When I’m with friends or family, I prefer the beer of their choosing. There’s no such thing as best beer. The best beer is the one you’re holding in your hand!
